College Admissions InformationWe’re coming into the home stretch for this year’s high school class!  Finals, proms and parties (safe, alcohol-free!) and vacations are on the horizon.  It’s all too easy to take the college admissions process too seriously, so we’ve included an article this week on how to capture awesome prom photos – so we can stop and capture the fun moments!

This Week’s College Admissions Highlights

Going to college: 15 tasks for high school seniors“, by Lynn O’Shaughnessy for CBS MoneyWatch provides a good road map for seniors and parents to follow.  Any article that boils down the sometimes complex college admissions process to a set of instructions is often appreciated by students and parents.

”‘Do You Have My Major?’ and Other College Questions to Avoid“, by Tanya Caldwell for the NYTs, The Choice blog gives us insight into how colleges view those questions students (and possibly parents!) might ask when touring campuses this summer.  In her interview with L. Randolph Lowery III, president of Lipscomb University, Ms. Caldwell was wise to also include some questions that SHOULD be asked!
As promised, “Alternative Prom Photography — Ideas & Tips for Truly Great Prom Photos“, from the Photojojo blog, is an awesome guide to prom photography for the do-it-yourselfer!  This guide includes something for everyone, utilizing all the tools (smartphones, etc.) that students/parents have at their disposal.  If you’re looking for ideas for prom photos that will be Facebook friendly – and that you’ll also love displaying in the living room, this is the ultimate guide for you.  Take a look at one of the sample photos…
As always, the bragTAG team wishes you Happy Trails in you college admissions quest!  Have a great week, a great prom, a great end to a great school year – and don’t forget to study for your finals!
PS – we hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend, and thank you to our veterans and active duty armed forces!
