“bragTAG Certified” Series!

4 Oct

Each month, we’ll be featuring a different high school academic or service organization that we believe would make a great addition to your high school bragSHEET.  We hope you find the “bragTAG Certified” Series useful, as you prepare for college admissions during high school years.

Take a look at these organizations, and consider joining them – not only to bolster the college admissions resume, but primarily as a way of getting together with peers to improve your own future, and give back to your community!

This is what colleges REALLY want to see – not a bragSHEET chock full of organizations that the student didn’t really have much contact with, but rather organizations that the students participated in – with far-ranging benefits for the student AND the larger community.

If you’re a parent, we recommend you encourage your student to join organizations like these.  Even though you, as a parent may clearly see the benefits, often times teens don’t consider activities like these – and this is surely folly if they are thinking of getting into a great college in these very competative times!

Some of the groups we’ll describe here are strictly scholarship, or stricly service – others are a combination.  In all cases, if you’re thinking of joining – or are invited to join – you’ll be working on self-improvement, community service – or both!

Join organizations like these!  You’ll find yourself not only at a good college, but more importantly fulfulling the REAL great American dream – improving your life through scholarship, and service to others!

Stay tuned for the first “bragTAG Certified” organization later this week!
